Ramblings and random things.

I just want to say one thing considering Rachel/Finn

I really am hoping that this wedding of theirs doesn’t happen now. It’s a show that tries so hard to be all foward and modern, telling kids it’s okay to be different and that being gay, or in a wheelchair, or of a different ethnicity does not make you worse than anyone else. Telling kids and teenagers that marriage at such a young age is a go go as long as you “get used to each other” is just wrong. Marriage is not about getting used to each other - or at least is shouldn’t be in 2012.

I really agree with the stand that Quinn and Kurt are taking, and it kinda makes me sad with the producers and writers that these two characters, who are trying to be reasonable, are treated as partycrashers and dreamcrushers. Highschool does not define who you are, and it does not define what your life will be like in a couple of years, let a lone a lifetime commitment that marriage is supposed to be in a very uptight culture that discriminates the very main characters of the show, a bunch of misfits and supposedly non-conformists.

Watching last week’s episode, it just came to me over and over again that this whole Rachel & Finn marriage is no better than Bella & Edward (minus the creeping stalking). We’re talking about people who can simply, I don’t know, LIVE together without taking vows they face as eternal when they’re barely of age.

I just really really hope something comes up and ruins this marriage. And I hope Kurt and Quinn don’t end up as some kind of evil bastards.
